dcmarvelexchangeThis exchange is for the superhero universes made by DC and Marvel, including almost all adaptations. Any character or comic set in these universes is eligible, even if they are not superheroes themselves. Officially licensed crossovers, such as Justice League/Power Rangers may be nominated.
We are fine with nested fandoms. If one person wants Steve/Bucky for MCU and another person wants Steve/Bucky Captain America movies both are fine.
For the comics you may nominate by the comics as a whole, specific universes, specific runs, specific eras, specific authors, etc. We realize that AO3 has a tendency to syn parts of Marvel and DC together. If you are worried about this, first check to see if the version you want is already in the tagset. If it is, copy and past the name exactly as you see it into your nominations and it will go through fine. If you don’t see it and are worried about synning comment on this post and we will manually add it in. Then you can copy and paste it into your fandom.
We will accept the Spider-Man tokusatsu. We will not be accepting Battle Fever J, Denshi Sentai Denziman, or Taiyo Sentai Sun Vulcan. We will not be accepting the Mortal Kombat games, but we will accept Injustice.
Crossover Fandom – This is for crossovers. It can be between DC and Marvel, either of them with a different fandom, or between distinct parts within them. Be mindful of how you nominate as only what the tag actually says is the character and fandom are enforceable. If you nominate Diana (Wonder Woman) you could get the 60s pilot, the 70s movie, 70s show, the more recent pilot, the DCEU movies, or the Wonder Woman comics. If you nominated Diana (Wonder Woman - Jenkins) we'd know you meant Diana from the movies Wonder Woman and Wonder Woman 1984 and would enforce it.
DCU (Comics) – This is for the entirety of DC comics. If you nominate Clark Kent/Bruce Wayne under this then understand that you could get any version of them from continuity. If you want a specific version then nominate a particular universe, era, run, writer, etc.
Injustice - This includes the comics and both games. Be mindful that there are two versions of some characters and there are three different alternate universe versions of Oliver Queen. If the nomination does not specify which version then it is understood that any version that appears in Injustice is acceptable. We will accept nominations of guest DLC characters.
Marvel (Comics) – This is for the entirety of Marvel comics. If you nominate Steve Rogers/Tony Stark under this then understand that you could get any version of them from continuity. If you want a specific version then nominate a particular universe, era, run, writer, etc.
Marvel Cinematic Universe – Nominate here if you want the request to take into account the entirety of the MCU or crossovers between different parts of it. Agents of Shield, Agent Carter, the Netflix series are all welcome here.
Note: There are multiple versions of Loki, Gamora, and Vision. If nomination doesn't specify which version then it is understood that ether is allowed.
Rebirth Era (DCU Comics) - This is being defined as the DC comics published between DC Universe: Rebirth Special cutting off right before Dark Nights: Death Metal #1.
X-Men (Movieverse) – This is for if you want something that takes into account all the X-Men movies, Deadpool moves, Wolverine moves, and New Mutants. If you want to specify which timeline version then add OT or AT at the end. You can even do something like Logan (OT)/Charles Xavier (AT).
